A Reel, A Team, and A Little Star in the Making
Last week, I got to experience yet another beautiful moment, blending my love for marketing with my pride as a mother.
We were shooting a reel for Funskool with the fantastic team at echoVME, and this time, the spotlight was on my daughter.
It wasnโt a product plug or a flashy promo.
It was a scripted story, told simply and beautifully, with clarity and charm, all delivered by a young girl who took the brief seriously and the camera naturally.
We rehearsed her lines, fine-tuned her tone, laughed through the bloopers and in the middle of all that, I saw something powerful:
Confidence, expression, and joyโunfolding in front of the camera.
Big shoutout to the echoVME team Zahabiyah H Vaishnav Raj Alwin Lawrance J for creating a space that was relaxed, fun and kid-friendly. The ease of the shoot, the clarity of the vision, and the mutual respect made this a memory we will all cherish.
This wasnโt just about social media.
It was about storytelling, connection and how content can be crafted with heart and intention.
A few reflections from this reel shoot:
1. A good script makes magic possible, especially when working with kids
2. The energy of the crew sets the tone
3. Confidence can be coached, but joy? Thatโs what makes content relatable
As a marketer, I am always looking to create content that connects.
As a mom, I am learning to celebrate the moments when my two worlds blend beautifully.
Have you ever brought your child into your work world? What did you discover in the process?
